Upon completion of this seminar, you will be able to:
- Identify the latest developments in Medicare and determine the impact on your practice.
- Identify the quality measures for 2012 that apply to physical therapists in private practice settings and successful reporting of measures to avoid future penalties.
- Describe emerging issues relating to health care reform and their potential implications for physical therapist practice.
- Implement documentation tips to support the use of codes to describe clinical practice.
- Minimize risk of denials or delays in payment through knowledge of correct coding and documentation practices.
- Discover resources to facilitate accurate and effective coding and appropriate reimbursement.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 coding, transition from ICD-9, and current issues related to reporting diagnosis as part of the payment process.
